Description

This agile board is designed for teenagers and lighter riders. At just under 8kg the Wave board is incredibly easy to carry and being only 9'6'' long, it's also easy to manoeuvre. Those looking for versatility can make use of the Wave's agility and easy handling for surfing, too. Plus at 32'' wide, the Wave offers fantastic stability and is still a great board for lightweight beginners looking to do some general paddleboarding.

Plus, the board comes with a 5 year warranty as standard.

Great General Purpose Board

I've had a number of Sandbank style boards. Decided to buy this smaller board mostly for travel as light and a tad smaller. I'm 85 kgs and don't have any issues. I'm also mostly a sea paddler. The board performs well and for a short board tracks well. Maybe not quite as stable as the 10'6 elite and ultimate cousins but it's super manoeuvrable. I've used it on The Thames several times and even played SUP polo on it. Very car top easy!

Great board for kids

I chose this board with the help of the Sandbanks team for my then 8 year old as a first board. He took to it quickly and was faster than me almost straight away! His confidence has bloomed on the board and he is able to paddle with his sister on the board too without any issues.
I’ve used the board myself and found it a little less stable for my weight and height (9st /5ft4) but not unmanageable, especially when kneeling.
A year on the board has been passed to my youngest who also managed straight away with no difficulties.
The extra hooks around the board make it easy to tow around too when the kids want to float around in the lakes.

1. Comfortable Grippy DeckPad

The best deck pads are machine pressed in addition to gluing.

2. PVC with Woven Inner

Outer Skin Strength is important for long life and pressure capacity.

3. Fusion Technology

An additional layer of PVC is laminated to the dropstitch core. Fusion results in a lighter, stiffer, longer lasting board, and much better for the environment too than toxic glues.

4. Super Reinforced, High Density Dropstitch

The strength/lightness ratio of the fibres, is key to creating a super rigid but light board.

5. UV Resistant

Built to withstand long-term exposure to sunlight, minimising material decay and keeping colours clear and vibrant.

6. Triple Layer On Rail

A 3rd and final layer around the rail of the board creates a second seal and ensures there are no weak points on the board.

7. Heat Treated Seal

A laminated, heat pressed inner seam on the fused PVC surrounding the core of the board creates a 100% airtight and waterproof seal. Much better and stronger than gluing.
