Description
The Explorer is a flat bottom, open top kayak designed to effortlessly carve through calm, flat water. It's design makes it ideal for people who are looking for fun on rivers, lakes and flat waters and is suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. We have made the new model slightly wider making it more stable than ever. The Explorer comes with luggage straps at the front and rear so it has plenty of room for dry bags and gear for your day on the water.
Just like the Optimal, the Explorer is inflatable but designed to feel just like a solid kayak with no compromise in performance. What’s more, it is more affordable than the equivalent hard kayaks on the market.
The Explorer comes with two removable seats, double action pump, two 4-piece paddles, wheel bag as well as a removable skeg to add speed and stability.
The 2024 Model Explorer is available as a double seater.

Great quality & sturdy kayak - really stable, easy to pump up and pack away. It’s a big beast though!
Only disappointments are the accessories really - the seats are not terribly supportive & the paddle feels a little cheap. Both will need upgrading straight away. Doesn’t take away from being a great unit though.
Easy to inflate, and one up it’s very rigid and hard to tell it’s inflatable, our first paddle was on Ulswater in the Lake District was great fun and I can’t believe how many people commented on our kayak , once finished it deflates quickly and is easy to pack away. Quality product you get what you pay for.

We are new to kayaking, so did plenty research and opted for the sandbanks explorer. Quick delivery, and fantastic kayak. absolutely love it. Seems to be exceptionally well made, and I guess you get what you pay for. 10/10 love it that much I think I will buy a single kayak just for me when the wife and dog can’t come out.
I'm 60 in a few month, not been in a canoe since I was 15years old, due to my size I've looked carefully for mid range kayaks, i wanted one big enough to take the grandkids, so looked for a double ... heck its some size :) Ordering and Delivery was flawless, I had the Kayak in 3 working days, even up here in the far north, today is the first time out, just a quickie after work, as a first time Kayaker some instruction in the box would have been nice, photo is under inflated, better after I put it up to pressure. even rescued a football and never fell in :) Nice stable kayak, I'd recommend to anyone.
